About Me
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples and groups. I am classically trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and am also a provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. When working with couples, I use a variety of techniques and approaches, including mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness skills, insight-oriented and behavioral change strategies. I adapt my work to suit the needs of each couple I work with.
My Specialties
My specific areas of interest include healing relationship conflicts, facilitating emotionally attuned communication and helping clients rediscover themselves in a securely attached relationship. I believe in the innate dignity of the human spirit, in resilience in the face of adversity, and in the power to change, no matter what the barriers. I believe in the ability of a couple to grow in ways that promote fulfillment and increase experiences of intimacy, trust, and safety in the relationship. I believe therapists and clients are equal partners in the counseling journey. I have years of experience and training to offer, however, you're the expert in your relationships.
