About Me
I have over 10 years of experience working with couples, families, and groups as a coach and have worked predominantly with couples for the past two years in a range of settings including outpatient behavioral health, private practice, and integrated primary care. My expertise is working with relational systems (couples/constellations/and families) to deepen emotional connection, clarify communication, and facilitate compassionate understanding that honors multiple perspectives and viewpoints simultaneously. Central to my practice is the belief that human beings are hardwired to be in connection, and that ultimately we all want to be seen, heard, and understood by the people who we love, and who love us in return. In working with me you can expect a warm, incisive, endlessly curious, and empathic therapeutic partner for exploring what matters to you, what holds you back, and what is possible when you feel most authentically yourself.
I use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches with collaboration and attunement at the center of my work. I hold a feminist, justice-oriented framework, and am committed to learning about how your unique history and personal context impact the ways in which you experience the world. Drawing on my decade of work with families, couples, individuals, and groups as a holistic health coach and yoga and meditation teacher, I employ bottom-up modalities for working with trauma and nervous system regulation to increase your felt sense of safety in your own body and around others.
My Specialties
I am a systemic, relational therapist and employ evidence-based, strengths-based, and postmodern models including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman, Solutions Focused Therapy, Collaborative Language Systems, and Bowenian Intergenerational Family Therapy. As a resident in EFT, my current focus is working with couples/constellations to help them hear one another, see one another, build empathy, communicate clearly, and slowly demystify the patterns underlying their relationship conflicts so that they can rediscover–or find for the first time–the deep and meaningful connections they long for.
