About Me
I enjoy working with clients who seek more meaningful connections to themselves and others. Central to my approach is creating a sense of hope and spaciousness even when things might feel hard. To do this, I bring warmth, candor and patience to support clients in feeling safe enough to explore belief systems and coping strategies that may no longer be serving them. I also draw on my training as a systemic therapist, taking an individual, couple or family’s context into consideration, empowering clients to feel freer from self-limiting beliefs and more confident to choose their path forward. In my clinical experience, which has spanned a healthcare setting, private practice and university counseling center, I use a collaborative style that encourages clients to find ways of engaging with themselves and others that feels in line with who they want to be.
My Specialties
As a resident at PSM, my work is focused on supporting couples in addressing patterns that hold them back from feeling present and met in the context of their relationship. I am drawn to emotionally focused therapy for its emphasis on deepening trust, empathy and ease between partners. When relevant, I draw from postmodern approaches like narrative therapy, trauma-informed practices and family systems theory to support clients in understanding how outside influences impact their sense of self-worth and agency. I am practiced in working with couples experiencing multisystemic stressors and high conflict and enjoy working with couples and relationship systems who are navigating parenthood, blended families, and neurodivergence, among other circumstances.
