About Me

I know that finding a therapist can be challenging and finding the right match is important. I aim to foster a safe and non-judgmental environment with the goal of doing what can be difficult work - finding new ways of relating to ourselves and others in the service of a flourishing life. We all deserve the opportunity to live healthier and more meaningful lives.

I come to therapy from an existential-humanistic approach that is rooted in a philosophical understanding of and sincere appreciation for basic concerns that motivate us all as people. Additionally, I draw from a number of approaches, including a psychodynamic understanding of the person, a focus on the significance of family (and other) systems, as well as experiential and emotionally-focused approaches to therapy.

My Specialties

I specialize in working with couples from an emotionally-focused standpoint. I am trained in family therapy and work with families experiencing challenges with children 13 and older. I also work with individuals, often men experiencing the loneliness that can follow from having difficulty connecting emotionally to themselves and others.
