About Me
My belief is that inherent in every person is the ability to live a fulfilled and satisfying life. Psychotherapy can be an invaluable tool in reconnecting with oneself and others, rediscovering and enhancing one's own natural strengths and improving the ability to manage stressors and challenges. Sometimes, circumstances which may seem overwhelming, a previous trauma, for instance, or depression, or physical factors may create a mental state that makes these barriers seem too daunting to manage alone. With support and attention such challenges can be managed.
I am fully certified in EMDR and Level 3 trained in Internal Family Systems with advanced training in a Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT Institute). I also have extensive experience in art therapy. My specializations are well suited to adults seeking help with relationships, trauma, self-improvement, spiritual crises, transitional crises, anxiety and stress management, recovery and employment and career development.
My Specialties
I work with adult clients with a broad range of presentations such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns.I specialize in attachment trauma, relationship struggles, individuation from family of origin, healing shame, grief, cultural identity issues, intergenerational trauma, maternal/paternal mental health, and the challenges of parenthood. I also have expertise in particular in couple counseling.
